Andrade’s wealth of experience and aggression could make for an exciting fight against Grasso, who will need to counter Andrade’s intensity and physicality.
A fight with Andrade would give Grasso a chance to prove she can handle an elite and well-rounded opponent. Andrade is always dangerous, and a win over her would solidify Grasso’s place in the flyweight hierarchy. Given Andrade’s previous fights with Shevchenko, this could also help Grasso understand where she needs to improve in a potential rematch against the champion.
3. Loser of Rose Namajunas vs. Erin Blanchfield (UFC Edmonton co-main event)
The upcoming UFC Edmonton co-main event between Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield could have major implications for the flyweight division. Namajunas, a two-time strawweight champion, has moved up to flyweight and is currently ranked #5. Blanchfield, on the other hand, is a rising star in the division with a grappling-heavy style that has propelled her up the rankings.
The loser of this bout could be a perfect opponent for Grasso as all three fighters are looking to establish themselves as the next big contender for Shevchenko’s title. Grasso has previously fought Namajunas, making a rematch a highly anticipated fight between two technical fighters.
