UFC Vegas 92 preliminary card highlights promising matchups with fighters looking to climb rankings and rebound from recent setbacks.

Vanessa Demopoulos vs. Emily Ducote

Vanessa Demopoulos and Emily Ducote are coming off wins and the victory could move up the ladder in strawweight. Demopoulos is a former LFA strawweight champion while Ducote is a former Invicta strawweight champion, would also be looking to do the same. Demopoulos is 4-2 in the UFC while Ducote is 2-2 in the UFC and is an ex-Bellator women’s bantamweight title challenger.

Alateng Heili vs. Kleydson Rodrigues

China’s Alateng Heili would be looking to rebound from his loss to Chris Gutierrez, against Kleydson Rodrigues at UFC Vegas 92. Heili is 4-2-1 in the UFC’s bantamweight division. On the other hand, Rodrigues is 1-2 in the UFC and lost his latest fight to Farid Basharat. He was 1-1 at flyweight before he made the move to bantamweight but was unsuccessful against Basharat. Rodrigues would be looking to make his mark in the division against Heili.

Piera Rodriguez vs. Ariane Carnelossi

Piera Rodriguez and Ariane Carnelossi lost their last fight in the promotion. For Rodriguez, the fight against Gillian Robertson was the first in MMA. Carnelossi is 2-2 in the UFC and last fought at UFC 274, losing against Lupita Godinez. Carnelossi, 2-1 in the UFC, would be looking to rebound and go on a run in the division.

Abus Magomedov vs. Warlley Alves

The middleweight bout between Abus Magomedov and Warlley Alves has all the makings of an exciting fight. However, both are on a losing streak. Magomedov, who made an impressive debut, is now 1-2 in the UFC. On the other hand, Alves is 8-7 in the UFC and has lost past 3. Alves and Magomedov have their jobs on the line at UFC Vegas 92.

Tamires Vidal vs. Melissa Gatto

Melissa Gatto would be looking to snap her two-fight losing streak against Tamire Vidal who lost her last fight. Gatto is 2-2 in the UFC while Vidal is 1-1 in the UFC. The women’s bantamweight bout would certainly be exciting, considering the style of the fighters.

Victor Martinez vs. Tom Nolan

Victor Martinez and Tom Nolan got into the UFC with impressive performances in Dana White’s Contender Series. However, the lightweights lost their UFC debut and would be looking to rebound with a victory at UFC Vegas 92.

Oumar Sy vs. Tuco Tokkos

Undefeated Frenchman Oumar Sy would be looking to make his UFC debut in the style against fellow debutant Tuco Tokkos. Sy was originally scheduled to face Antonio Trócoli who pulled out and Tokkos stepped in on short notice.
