Battle Arena comes to Coventry on March 11th live from Sports Connexion with five title fights on the card and 29 fights on the fight card. It is guaranteed that it will be a night of action. With some of the best professionals and amateurs in the country, fans watching will be in for a night of treats.

Charlie Dando Vs David Komar

This fight is for the Battle Arena World bantamweight Championship, as two promising Amateur bantamweights look to claim the title of the best Bantamweight in the country. Charlie Dando, who is currently on a 3-fight win streak, will be looking to extend that streak whilst also claiming championship gold and the number one ranked bantamweight in the country.

“Expect an exciting fight as I’m going to bring everything I’ve got. I’m coming to prove I am the number 1 bantamweight in the country,” Dando stated.

His opponent is the former Hungarian national team member David Komar, who was unable to pick up the win in his last fight but will be looking to get back to winning ways with a big win over another rising prospect within European MMA. Komar currently ranks #13 in the middle east so a big win would boost his rankings in both the middle east and the UK. He will be looking to climb the ranks and pick up championship gold along the way to prove he is one of the best bantamweight prospects in the world.

Viljar Tangstad Vs Theil Edwards

This fight takes place in the middleweight division and will see the Battle Arena World middleweight Champion take on the European champion. There certainly is a lot on the line for both fighters. The Current World Champion Vilijar Tangstad won the belt in his first-ever fight and will be looking to have his first title defence whilst trying to unify the World Title with the European Title.

“I respect anybody who steps in the cage. I’m looking forward to getting in there again,” Tangstad commented via Instagram.

His opponent the current European Champion Theil Edwards, who is currently riding a two-fight win streak and having more experience than his opponent, wants to make history by unifying the two belts. Edwards has more experience than his opponent and will be looking to use that experience to get him the win.

“I’m excited for this opportunity to earn a world title and share the cage with a high-level practitioner like Tangstad,” Edwards said. “I hope he intends to bring his all come March 11th because that’s my intent.”

Jordan Sood Vs Jake Dygas

This fight is an Amateur lightweight bout between two hot prospects looking to climb their way towards a title fight and one step closer to being the best in the country. Jordan Sood, who is looking to get back to winning ways after his last time in the Battle Arena cage, is dropping a weight class to see how successful he is at a new weight class. The Jiu- Jitsu ace will be looking to get yet another submission win and hopefully a title shot. His opponent Jake Dygas won his last fight in the Battle Arena cage with a huge TKO win and will be looking to get another big win, believing that he will still get the knockout over the larger opponent. This fight looks to be an exciting bout.

“My opponent Jordan is moving down a weight class for this fight as a strategy to come in as the bigger and stronger man, but I’m still going to get the finish,” Dygas stated.

Sam Huntley Vs Yan Kurilishin

This is another Amateur Lightweight bout between two new prospects in the division as both fighters will be having their second fight in this event. Sam Huntley will be looking to carry on his winning ways with another win to show himself as a prospect within the division and try to build momentum for a future title shot. Having won by submission in his first fight, he will be looking for another stoppage win.

“For this fight, I’m training extremely hard, and I can’t wait to push myself against my opponent and develop my style in the cage. It will be my first time fighting a jiu-jitsu specialist as well,” Huntley declared.

His opponent Yan Kurilishin will be looking to get to winning ways after he suffered a loss in his debut fight. Looking to get his first win over a strong opponent will propel Yan both in confidence and in ranking so he can build up to a title fight in the future.

“There are only a few weeks left, so I’m doing my job,” Kurilishin stated. “My preparation is going very well, and I will be ready for March 11th. I will do everything to win! Glory to Ukraine!”

Marcus Dygas Vs Brad Eston

This fight takes place in the featherweight division as two amateur prospects go head-to-head in a clash of climbing the rankings. Marcus Dygas is looking to carry on his win streak after he got a hard-fought split decision in his last bout. The young up-and-coming is looking forward to being able to put on another exciting performance for the fans.

“I am looking forward to the fight and will be going for a finish from the start,” Dygas said via Instagram.

His Opponent Brad Eston will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing to a split decision in his last appearance. With having 75% submission percentage, Eston will be looking to get his opponent to the ground and submit them to get back on track to the title.

Aoife McHugh Vs Roxanne Lewin

This fight is a catchweight fight at 55KG as we see a debutant take on MMA TV Find A Star alumni. With both women training hard for this fight, it will be an exciting fight to watch. Aoife McHugh is making her debut and will be looking to have the perfect start to her MMA career with a win over a very game-tough opponent.

“I’m looking forward to stepping into this new environment so early on in my life - this way I have the longest journey and I am doing something I love to get the most out of it,” Aoife stated. “Win or lose I respect Roxanne so much and every woman who steps into the cage whether it’s with me or not. I’m so excited to kickstart it in March.”

Her opponent Roxanne Lewin appeared on MMATV find a star and went through 6 weeks of gruelling training sessions to compete for a contract. After the show, she then lost her debut fight by decision so she will be looking to get to winning ways with constant pressure and aggression. Roxanne always puts on a great fight.
