The Brazilian Wanderley definitely didn’t look like he had accepted the fight just the day before yesterday, and in the first round, he was just a small step away from finishing the home crowd favourite. He forced Eskiev into a more cautious and thoughtful mode, balancing on the edge between victory and defeat. However, Lom-Ali managed to turn things around in the second round – he found his way through brutal leg kicks and gradually dismantled Wanderley. The Brazilian’s dance around the cage lasted for quite a while, and even Eskiev himself probably couldn’t believe how much more his opponent could take. In the end, the gentlemen finished their dance on the ground, where Eskiev delivered the final blow in a relentless series of heavy strikes. Euphoria for Düsseldorf, but also a commendable performance from Wanderley.
